1992 Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800/1P – Platinum Blue Ribbed Dial
A Piece Most Collectors Don't Know Exist - It's That Rare
This Reference 3800 represents the absolute ceiling for the Nautilus of this era, fully confirmed factory by the PP Archives. While the model is typically associated with stainless steel, this example is executed entirely in solid platinum. It is a massive departure from the standard production pieces, immediately separating it from the pack. It is said that only 100 models were produced in platinum, where 10 were produced with the facory diamond bezel. The extracts cite 40 diamonds weighing nearly a karat, moving it into the category of high-spec rarities that were only available to the brand's most important clients. Go ahead and try to find another factory platinum example with a diamond bezel on the market today; they simply do not appear. This is a level of scarcity that renders the standard models common by comparison.
Factory Diamonds And Archived Provenance
Finding a platinum Nautilus is an event in itself, but finding one with a factory diamond bezel that is fully documented is nearly impossible. This is a factory-born rarity, not a later customization, and it is fully confirmed by the Patek Philippe extract from the archives. The deep blue dial provides a perfect high-contrast backdrop for the diamonds and the white metal. A particularly elegant detail is the date wheel, which features a specific serifed font that is significantly more sophisticated than the utilitarian versions found on modern references. It is the ultimate "if you know, you know" watch, appearing like a classic Nautilus to the casual observer while using one of the most difficult to sculpt metals is.
Like New Preservation And Sharp Geometry
The condition of this example is excellent, presenting in a state that is nearly like new. The platinum case and bracelet show incredibly sharp lines and have been preserved with remarkable care over the decades. It remains tight and heavy, showing none of the stretching or softening of the edges that often occurs with precious metal watches. This piece comes with a suite of documentation, including the Patek Philippe extract and service papers, which solidify its authenticity and history. We have also included additional links to ensure the bracelet can be sized correctly. After passing our test bench, the automatic movement is running strong.
A Genuinely Irreplaceable Investment - Our dealers dont even know this exists
This watch works because it represents the pinnacle of a reference that defines modern watch collecting. It offers the classic mid-size proportions that many now prefer, but with a level of rarity and material density that dwarfs almost anything else on the market. The unique metal choice, the diamond bezel, all the way down to the elegant date wheel in combination with one of the most famous designs in history makes this piece a home run. It is a historically meaningful configuration that is genuinely hard to replace and will remain a centerpiece of any collection it enters.

What Our Clients Say About Us
I knew I was gonna like Danny, based on his name, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how great of an experience this was. He had the most beautiful 70s Seamaster Cosmic on his website and I was set to be married 2 days later - I arranged to buy it but before leaving we both realized it needed to be serviced. I panicked, because I was literally buying this for my wedding, and Danny being the legend he is, loaned me a nearly identical Seamaster to make sure I could get through the event Never have I had someone go so above and beyond for me, especially while purchasing one of the lesser priced items in their inventory. He serviced my watch and exchanged it with me after the wedding on a super fast turnaround timeline. I would sincerely recommend you visit this guy, you will not be disappointed Edit: adding a pic of the loaner (two tone) and the owner (crosshair)
Great service and shop. Danny and his team were incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. Great selection of vintage watches. Their store is the hidden gem in the diamond district.
This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
Can't recommend Danny's vintage watches enough!!! My first Omega ever and im in love have been wearing every day since I purchased it. Danny's shop is a must visit if you are in NYC looking for a watch!!!
