Bvlgari BJ01 – Integrated 18K White Gold Grey Ghost Dial

A Study In White Gold And Monochrome

The BJ01 is a representative example of Bvlgari's ability to treat precious metals like fabric. This reference is defined by its fully integrated 18K white gold construction, which creates a seamless flow from the case into the bracelet. The grey ghost dial is the defining characteristic here. By utilizing a dial color that closely matches the tone of the white gold, the watch takes on a monochromatic look that feels more modern than a standard white or black dial. It is a piece that prioritizes texture and material over traditional contrast.

The Jewelry Watch Redefined

During the early 2000s, Bvlgari was at the height of its influence in the jewelry watch space. This piece sits squarely in that era, offering a substantial weight that signals its quality immediately upon being handled. The integrated nature of the design means it wears more like a high-end gold cuff than a traditional timepiece. It is a specialized choice for someone who wants the prestige of a solid gold watch in a configuration that remains understated due to the cool tones of the white gold and the muted grey dial.

Unpolished Integrity And Solid Construction

The watch is in good overall condition and remains in its unpolished state, preserving the original factory lines and finish. The 18K white gold integrated bracelet is remarkably well-preserved with no stretch, ensuring it maintains its intended silhouette on the wrist. The grey ghost dial and crystal are clean and free of significant defects. Mechanically, the quartz movement is running strong after passing our test bench and is ready for immediate wear.

The Refined Alternative For The Wrist

This watch works because it offers a level of sophistication that is harder to find in mass-market luxury watches. It is the right choice for someone who values the discreet nature of a grey ghost dial paired with solid white gold. It makes sense as a dedicated dress watch or a high-end daily accessory that bridges the gap between fine jewelry and horology. It is a classy, high-integrity example of Bvlgari design.

I knew I was gonna like Danny, based on his name, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how great of an experience this was. He had the most beautiful 70s Seamaster Cosmic on his website and I was set to be married 2 days later - I arranged to buy it but before leaving we both realized it needed to be serviced. I panicked, because I was literally buying this for my wedding, and Danny being the legend he is, loaned me a nearly identical Seamaster to make sure I could get through the event Never have I had someone go so above and beyond for me, especially while purchasing one of the lesser priced items in their inventory. He serviced my watch and exchanged it with me after the wedding on a super fast turnaround timeline. I would sincerely recommend you visit this guy, you will not be disappointed Edit: adding a pic of the loaner (two tone) and the owner (crosshair)

Great service and shop. Danny and his team were incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. Great selection of vintage watches. Their store is the hidden gem in the diamond district.

This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
