Cartier Santos 2823 - Two Tone White Roman Dial

Familiar shape, quieter execution

The Santos is one of Cartier’s most recognizable designs, but this example sits slightly off the beaten path. Executed as an automatic with a white Roman numeral dial, it offers a lighter, cleaner look than the more common silver or cream variants most people associate with the model. Many note the date wheel in an uncommon position, the bottom right, as another destinctive feature. 

Dependable design and engineering

Automatic Santos models with white dials are harder to come by, especially in this configuration. The contrast between the crisp dial, blued hands, and darker Roman numerals adds depth without feeling busy, and the quickset date keeps the watch practical without interrupting the design.

Well kept and thoughtfully finished

Condition throughout is strong and cleanly presented. The case and bracelet show excellent preservation, with brushed surfaces that catch light subtly and give the watch its characteristic shimmer. The dial remains crisp, the hands retain their color, and the automatic movement is fully functional and keeping great time. All components are original, including the crown, dial, movement, and caseback, and the bracelet remains in very good shape for its age.
