A Santos with character
The Santos is already one of Cartier’s most recognizable designs. Square case, exposed screws, white Roman dial. This example keeps that familiar shape but brings in something far less common. A spider dial that completely changes the mood.
At 29 by 41 millimeters, it has real wrist presence while still wearing slim and balanced. It looks like a classic Santos from across the room. Up close, it tells a different story.
Why this configuration matters
The white Roman dial has developed spider cracking throughout. Instead of distracting, it gives the watch texture and personality. The fine webbing runs across the surface in a way that feels organic. No two spider dials age the same, which makes each one individual.
On a Santos, that contrast works especially well. The structured case and industrial screws meet a dial that has loosened up over time. Clean lines against fractured lacquer. It creates depth without adding anything artificial.
The stainless steel bracelet keeps it grounded and wearable. It still feels like a proper everyday Santos, just one with more attitude.
What you need to know before wearing it
The entire watch has been polished to an even tone. Overall condition is good. The bracelet is solid and fits approximately a 6.75 to 7 inch wrist. The dial shows spider cracking throughout, which should be understood as aging of the lacquer rather than damage.
The automatic movement is running well, showing healthy amplitude and stable timekeeping after passing through our bench.

This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
Can't recommend Danny's vintage watches enough!!! My first Omega ever and im in love have been wearing every day since I purchased it. Danny's shop is a must visit if you are in NYC looking for a watch!!!
