Cartier Tank — Wood "Spider" Dial
The Story
Here's a vintage must de Cartier Tank manual wind with a rare brown wood dial from the late 70s, early 80s. Keeps great time and is fully functional. Measurements include a 23x30 mm tank case size and 18mm lug width. It's on a brown leather strap with matching original gold buckle that compliments the watch really well. 18K yellow gold electroplated case. The case and caseback are in great condition. No numerals on the dial. In certain light, you can see the dial have a \"spider\" effect\", meaning the dial has some cracks due to age. Original blue cabochon crown. As you can see in the light, the dial has a \"spider\" effect. The crystal is free from any scratches or marks. Hard to come by these red dials as most of them are a lemon or black color. All parts are original including the dial, crown, movement, and caseback. Both the dial and case are in great cosmetic, untouched condition.Choose options
What Our Clients Say About Us
Fantastic experience. Great watch. Reached out to Danny through his website. Was contacted by two great representatives who were both incredibly helpful. Went through most of the transaction with them. As we got to the final stages and shipping I connected with Danny. The watch was as described and the whole process was seamless. I’ve gotten responses from Danny directly post my purchase when I’ve had a quick follow up conversation which I so appreciate. Beyond a great selection of beautiful watches if you are looking for a good customer experience in what can be an intimidating vintage watch game I really do recommend DVW.
Danny was knowledgeable and friendly, with knowledge of multiple brands and a wealth of inventory to delight any vintage watch aficionado (or newbie looking to learn in my case). He set me up with a beautiful and functional watch that’s built to last, and fitted it with a great band that fit me and the watch perfectly. While perusing, I got to watch him interact with other sellers/resellers, and you can tell he is well respected within the community on 47th street, and works hard to procure the best possible inventory by dealing with everyone honestly and straightforwardly. If you want something unique, or just want to look at some beautiful watches, Danny’s your guy. I look forward to coming back and growing my collection!
Danny and his team were phenomenal to work with. They were kind, knowledgeable, and, personable. I got the exact watch I wanted for an extremely reasonable price and Danny and his team (I worked with Ben as well) gave me the confidence that I was buying a certified, real product. Couldn’t recommend them more if you’re looking for vintage watches.
What a find this place is. They have such interesting watches that I don’t normally find elsewhere. Unique watches and a unique experience. Already purchased three watches and am very satisfied. These make excellent gifts for yourself, your loved ones, anyone who appreciates a piece that’s character and class. A watch from here is definitely a conversation starter, and I received multiple compliments.
