Mirexal was the private label brand for Migros, Switzerland's largest retail company, offering quality Swiss watches directly to the domestic market. This meant that to compete on home turf, the watches had to be good. This Superautomatic Diver from the 1970s is a prime example of the era's robust tool watch design, rated to 300 meters. With a substantial 40mm steel case, which was considered quite large for its time, and a bold, high-contrast dial, it has all the hallmarks of a serious vintage diver built with purpose.
Bold Seventies Character
This example stands out with its distinct and confident color scheme. The black dial serves as a clean base for the bright orange hands and the two-tone red and blue instrumentation at three o'clock. It is a purely functional design choice that gives the watch a unique visual identity. The long, thick lugs amplify its presence on the wrist, making it wear with a more modern feel than its vintage origins might suggest. It’s a piece that captures the adventurous spirit of 1970s watch design.
Untouched And Honest Condition
This watch presents in great cosmetic, untouched condition. The stainless steel case appears unpolished, retaining its original lines. Both the dial and crystal are free from any scratches or marks. The lume in the hands and across the hour markers has aged to an even and consistent yellow patina. All parts, including the crown and dial, are original to the watch. Absolutely unreal experience. Found them from Facebook. Figured I’d browse the site. Fell in love with a patek, texted them, and they (specifically David) were so amazing and easy to chat with about options and inventory, process etc. Came in to pick up the watch - man, as you probably know - you cannot understate how great their selection is. That’s really one of the best parts as well. The service is great; they treat their clients great, prices are very good - but the curation is another huge stand out part. Anyway - these fellas were so great when we came in, that my wife was determined that we buy a watch for her, - you know just to help the business. Not for her, she insists, but because of how great the guys at the shop were. And I agreed so I obliged. :P It’s honestly a 10/10 shop. As we speak they are reworking both our watches to fit our bracelet and I’ll add photos when I pick up the watches. Heck, 11/10. They’re that good. Go there, you will not regret it!
