Omega Speedmaster - 18k Rose Gold Black Dial

Details

A Fresh Expression Of A Classic Design

This Speedmaster announces itself the moment you pick it up. Full 18k Sedna gold, full bracelet, no visual softening. At 220 grams, the weight is immediate and unmistakable. This is a Moonwatch that feels fundamentally different from steel before it ever touches the wrist.

The design stays familiar. Black dial, classic proportions, no modern tricks. The material does all the work.

Why This Configuration Matters

Sedna gold is Omega’s proprietary alloy, developed to retain its warm tone over time. In a full gold execution, including the bracelet, it pushes the Speedmaster into a category Omega rarely occupies. These were never meant to be common, and they were positioned accordingly from the start.

Flip the watch over and the tone shifts again. The exhibition caseback reveals Omega’s modern manual wind movement in full view. The finishing is clean, technical, and clearly a work of intensive craftsmanship. Bridges, striping, and depth that remind you this is not just about the name brand. It adds a second layer to the watch that you only see once it is off the wrist.

What You Need To Know Before Wearing It

Condition is like new. The case, bracelet, bezel, and dial are immaculate. All links are present. The watch comes as a full set with box and warranty card. Everything is correct and accounted for.

Who This Watch Is Actually For

This is not a subtle Speedmaster. It is heavy, warm, and deliberate. You buy it because you want to feel the watch on your wrist and because you appreciate the tension between utilitarian history and precious metal execution.

It is for someone who already understands the Moonwatch and wants the most extreme, unapologetic version of it. Familiar, rare, and impossible to confuse for anything else.

Every watch we offer has been authenticated and mechanically looked over to ensure immediate usability.

Bracelet extension, cutting, or sizing is available upon request through our professional in-house jewelers.

History

In 1957, Omega released the Speedmaster as a racing chronograph. Eight years later, NASA put it through a battery of extreme tests — temperature, humidity, vacuum, shock, vibration, acceleration — and in 1965 certified it as the official watch for all manned space missions.

On July 20, 1969, Buzz Aldrin wore his Speedmaster on the surface of the Moon. No other watch has been to the Moon. That fact has never stopped mattering to anyone who cares about watches.

The Speedmaster's production history across our inventory is rich: the manual-wind Professional (ref 145.022 from 1969 itself), the Reduced automatic (3510.5, 3511.5, 3511.8 with date), the Triple Calendar series (3521, 3523.3), the Michael Schumacher limited editions (3810.12, 3518.5), and the AC Milan and Schumacher World Champion 2000 editions. Each variant was built on the same essential chassis — the 39mm steel case, the tachymeter bezel — and each one lands somewhere on the continuum between racing instrument and artifact of human achievement.

What Our Clients Say About Us

I knew I was gonna like Danny, based on his name, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how great of an experience this was. He had the most beautiful 70s Seamaster Cosmic on his website and I was set to be married 2 days later - I arranged to buy it but before leaving we both realized it needed to be serviced. I panicked, because I was literally buying this for my wedding, and Danny being the legend he is, loaned me a nearly identical Seamaster to make sure I could get through the event Never have I had someone go so above and beyond for me, especially while purchasing one of the lesser priced items in their inventory. He serviced my watch and exchanged it with me after the wedding on a super fast turnaround timeline. I would sincerely recommend you visit this guy, you will not be disappointed Edit: adding a pic of the loaner (two tone) and the owner (crosshair)

Great service and shop. Danny and his team were incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. Great selection of vintage watches. Their store is the hidden gem in the diamond district.

This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
