Omega Speedmaster 3513 – Black Dial

The Automatic Heir To A Legacy

The Omega Speedmaster is defined by its role in space exploration, but the family is broader than just the manual-wind Moonwatch. The reference 3513 takes the legendary design language of the original and adapts it for modern daily wear. It combines the iconic tachymeter bezel and chronograph layout with the convenience of an automatic movement, creating a more practical interpretation of a watch that is, without question, a pillar of 20th-century design.

A More Wearable Footprint

This example from the 1990s brings the Speedmaster experience into a 39mm case. This size offers a more universal fit than the larger Professional model, making it a strong choice for those who appreciate more classic proportions. By pairing the core aesthetic with an automatic caliber, Omega built a watch for the person who respects the history but requires the ease of a self-winding movement for everyday use.

An All Original Example

This Speedmaster is presented in honest, well-kept condition. All components, including the crown, dial, movement, and caseback, are original to the watch. The black dial is clean, and the case maintains its classic lines. The bracelet is sized for a comfortable fit. As with every watch we offer, this piece has been verified as mechanically sound and is ready to wear.

The Everyday Icon

This is the right Speedmaster for someone who wants the gravity of the name without the daily ritual of a manual-wind watch. It delivers the essential look and functionality that made the model famous, but in a package that is arguably more suited to the rhythms of modern life. It’s an accessible entry point to one of the most important chronographs ever made, and it works in any situation you put it in.

History

In 1957, Omega released the Speedmaster as a racing chronograph. Eight years later, NASA put it through a battery of extreme tests — temperature, humidity, vacuum, shock, vibration, acceleration — and in 1965 certified it as the official watch for all manned space missions.

On July 20, 1969, Buzz Aldrin wore his Speedmaster on the surface of the Moon. No other watch has been to the Moon. That fact has never stopped mattering to anyone who cares about watches.

The Speedmaster's production history across our inventory is rich: the manual-wind Professional (ref 145.022 from 1969 itself), the Reduced automatic (3510.5, 3511.5, 3511.8 with date), the Triple Calendar series (3521, 3523.3), the Michael Schumacher limited editions (3810.12, 3518.5), and the AC Milan and Schumacher World Champion 2000 editions. Each variant was built on the same essential chassis — the 39mm steel case, the tachymeter bezel — and each one lands somewhere on the continuum between racing instrument and artifact of human achievement.

What Our Clients Say About Us

I knew I was gonna like Danny, based on his name, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how great of an experience this was. He had the most beautiful 70s Seamaster Cosmic on his website and I was set to be married 2 days later - I arranged to buy it but before leaving we both realized it needed to be serviced. I panicked, because I was literally buying this for my wedding, and Danny being the legend he is, loaned me a nearly identical Seamaster to make sure I could get through the event Never have I had someone go so above and beyond for me, especially while purchasing one of the lesser priced items in their inventory. He serviced my watch and exchanged it with me after the wedding on a super fast turnaround timeline. I would sincerely recommend you visit this guy, you will not be disappointed Edit: adding a pic of the loaner (two tone) and the owner (crosshair)

Great service and shop. Danny and his team were incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. Great selection of vintage watches. Their store is the hidden gem in the diamond district.

This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
