Piaget 9791 - Integrated Bracelet, Onyx Dial with Diamond Indicies

The dial tells you exactly what this is

This Piaget comes from the brand’s most confident jewelry era, when ultra thin construction met real stone dials and integrated gold bracelets. The onyx dial with diamond accents is the entire point. It's flat, deep black nature allows the wearer to get lost in the dial. The integrated bracelet complements the watch perfectly, creating a seamless balance where neither the dial nor the band steals attention from the other.

Why this configuration matters

Onyx dials are fragile and difficult to work with. Many cracked during production or did not survive decades of wear. Finding one that remains intact is increasingly uncommon. This dial is clean and uncracked, which is the first thing serious collectors look for.

The integrated 18k white gold bracelet and bezel complete the design. Piaget did not treat the bracelet as an accessory. It is part of the architecture of the watch. When these bracelets stretch or are separated, the watch loses its identity. This one remains tight and well preserved.

Manual wind suits Piaget’s design philosophy here. It allows the case to stay slim and keeps the focus on form and material rather than mechanics.

What you need to know before wearing it

Condition is very good. The bracelet is in great shape. The onyx dial is perfect and intact. The crystal shows small scratches near six and nine o’clock that are visible only upon close inspection. The watch runs exceptionally well at approximately zero seconds per day after passing by the test bench.

For one looking for their statement dress piece.

This is Piaget doing what it did better than anyone else in the 1980s. Stone dial, precious metal, integrated design, and ultra thin proportions. Nothing here was meant to be common.

It works for someone who values material rarity over complication and understands that condition on stone dial Piagets is everything. Clean, intact, and increasingly difficult to replace once it leaves the market.

Every watch we offer has been authenticated and mechanically looked over to ensure immediate usability.

Bracelet extension, cutting, or sizing is available upon request through our professional in-house jewelers.

History

Piaget was founded in 1874 by Georges-Édouard Piaget in La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland. The company originally started as a workshop specializing in the production of high-quality movements for other watchmakers. Piaget gained a reputation for its excellence in craftsmanship and its ability to create ultra-thin movements, a trademark that would later become one of its signature features.

Piaget’s journey as a watchmaker shifted toward producing timepieces with record-breaking movements in luxury hand-crafted precious metal watches, such as the Piaget Polo, Protocol, Emperador, Altiplano, and several other models. They focused on the watch's appearance and innovative movements like the 7P, 9P, 12P, 530P automatic, and some ultra-thin mechanical movements.

Piaget is known for its luxury craftsmanship, which means they don't settle for anything less than perfection. Each gold watch is made with precise finishes throughout the case and bracelet. Piaget only created timepieces in precious metals, which meant there was lots of room for error, as these metals are more fragile. They employed the best goldsmiths in the world, who worked around the clock to ensure that every watch was made perfectly. Since each Piaget is made by hand, almost every one is unique in its own way—whether it’s a malachite stone dial cut from a single stone or a bracelet with a Florentine finish that differs slightly from another.

Many watch brands create gold watches with true craftsmanship, but when it comes to Piaget, nothing could top them in terms of quality. Throughout the 1960s to the 1990s, Piaget gained popularity with celebrities and royalty, cementing its status as a symbol of luxury.

What Our Clients Say About Us

I knew I was gonna like Danny, based on his name, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how great of an experience this was. He had the most beautiful 70s Seamaster Cosmic on his website and I was set to be married 2 days later - I arranged to buy it but before leaving we both realized it needed to be serviced. I panicked, because I was literally buying this for my wedding, and Danny being the legend he is, loaned me a nearly identical Seamaster to make sure I could get through the event Never have I had someone go so above and beyond for me, especially while purchasing one of the lesser priced items in their inventory. He serviced my watch and exchanged it with me after the wedding on a super fast turnaround timeline. I would sincerely recommend you visit this guy, you will not be disappointed Edit: adding a pic of the loaner (two tone) and the owner (crosshair)

Great service and shop. Danny and his team were incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. Great selection of vintage watches. Their store is the hidden gem in the diamond district.

This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
