Late 60s lines, understated gold
This watch hails from the era tube televisions, western dress, and earthy tones. This 60s Geneve is a really fun expression of this era and yet still a proper dress watch that can go with a suit or be worn casually. This pre-Cellini era Rolex shows them trying artistry before launching the line fully.
Why this one works
The appeal here is proportion and era. The case wears slim and intentional in design, with the integrated gold bezel giving it structure without turning it into jewelry. It feels deliberate, and very late 60s early 70s.
The white sunburst dial keeps it grounded. In certain light it reads simple and classic. In others, the case texture comes alive and gives the watch more depth than you expect. Paired on lizard leather, it leans dressy but never flashy.
Condition and performance
The case presents well overall. The dial shows some dirt around the outer edges that should be noted, but nothing distracting at normal wear distance. The strap and buckle are new. The watch runs strong with healthy amplitude after passing by our test bench.

This was my first real luxury watch purchase, a Rolex 15200 Date 34mm, I own Tissots and a Laco, but those are entry level luxury watches. I found Danny’s Vintage Watches online, and had great feedback both on Google, Chrono24 and the Reddit watch community. So decided to give him a shot as buying online can be a crap shoot. Ordered Monday night, was at my doorstep Friday morning. Despite the watch being over 30 years old, serial number says it’s from 91, the watch looked new. Didn’t come with box or papers, and was shipped in a plastic sleeve wrapped in bubble wrap. Danny was always available to answer questions. I’ll be buying from Danny again for the next purchase…saw a couple of Speedmasters on his site I liked….
Can't recommend Danny's vintage watches enough!!! My first Omega ever and im in love have been wearing every day since I purchased it. Danny's shop is a must visit if you are in NYC looking for a watch!!!
