Rolex Datejust ref. 16014 — Linen Dial with Papers
The Story
Here's a vintage Rolex Datejust reference 16014 automatic with a silver linen dial on a jubilee bracelet from the 80s. Keeps great time and is fully functional. Measurements include a 36mm oyster case and 20mm lug width. It's on a Rolex jubilee bracelet that fits up to an 8 inch wrist (555 endlinks). The bracelet is a little stretched out, but still wearable. Time and quick date function at 3 a clock. Clean silver linen dial and white gold bezel. Steel case and caseback. The lume in both the hands and lume plots are still crisp and white. Drilled lug holes. Both the dial and crystal are free from any scratches or marks. Comes with its original papers. The watch was sold in 1988 in Hong Kong, according to the papers. All parts are original including the signed Rolex crown, dial, movement, and caseback. Absolutely unreal experience. Found them from Facebook. Figured I’d browse the site. Fell in love with a patek, texted them, and they (specifically David) were so amazing and easy to chat with about options and inventory, process etc. Came in to pick up the watch - man, as you probably know - you cannot understate how great their selection is. That’s really one of the best parts as well. The service is great; they treat their clients great, prices are very good - but the curation is another huge stand out part. Anyway - these fellas were so great when we came in, that my wife was determined that we buy a watch for her, - you know just to help the business. Not for her, she insists, but because of how great the guys at the shop were. And I agreed so I obliged. :P It’s honestly a 10/10 shop. As we speak they are reworking both our watches to fit our bracelet and I’ll add photos when I pick up the watches. Heck, 11/10. They’re that good. Go there, you will not regret it!
