History

Founded in 1846 in Le Locle, Ulysse Nardin built its reputation on marine chronometers trusted by naval officers worldwide. The Michelangelo reference 161-42 in our inventory is a classical round dress watch in 18-karat yellow gold with a mother-of-pearl moonphase dial and an integrated bracelet — a departure from the brand's nautical heritage toward pure horological elegance. Ulysse Nardin remains one of the few independent manufactures to have produced movements for external clients while maintaining a distinct identity.
