Zodiac Sea Wolf — Bakelite Bezel
The Story
Vintage Zodiac Sea Wolf models are absolute sleeper hits in the world of vintage watches. Appearing first in the mid-50s, these watches were among the first dive watches and many were distributed during the Vietnam war. This Sea Wolf has all the right 60s charm — gilt dial, nicely ghosted blue bakelite countdown bezel, sweet golden patina matching across the numerals and hands. Date at 3, “Swiss<25” text at 6, crispy unpolished case. Likely an unoriginal crown, though many Zodiac-replaced crowns of this era were unmarked.
